CUSTOMER COMMUNICATION – QUALITY RISK OF LOW PRICED, NON-CREAVEY ENCAPSULATED SEALS

Dear Valued Customer,

I write to you on an important topic regarding the encapsulated seal product and the increasing risk we feel our customers face from low quality encapsulated seals offered from low cost/low-value suppliers.

We recognize that it can be difficult to visually distinguish between a high quality Creavey Seal and a low-quality/low-cost seal.  Below are some key points to consider when comparing a high quality Creavey Encapsulated Seal to high risk, low cost suppliers.

·        Creavey only uses the highest grade materials available.  We recognize this is critical to the performance of the seal and critical to mitigating the risk of seal failure.

o   Our materials are 100% pure Du Pont™ Teflon® FEP/PFA and Du Pont™ Viton®

o   Some low cost suppliers may give the impression they are providing high grade materials when, in fact, they are using lower-value substitute materials.  We therefore urge our customers to diligently check certifications against actual materials used.

·        Creavey Seals use raw materials processed under full in-house control, using AS9100 aerospace quality systems which allows it to achieve market leading tolerances on the inner cord and outer Teflon® tube.

o   We urge our customers to check what quality systems are being used from low cost manufacturers.

·        Creavey Seals Company manufactures its encapsulated seals from start to finish in a factory setting under tight quality control systems.

o   Creavey is aware that some low-value suppliers are choosing to finish its rings in the homes of its employees, leaving gaps in quality control.

·        Creavey Seals Company can offer a broad range of turn-key solutions, beyond the encapsulated seals, to help our customers grow.

o   Vulc O Rings (vulcanized/spliced rings).

o   Wound metal Astra Seals for low temperature cryogenic applications.

o   Standard and custom extrusions.

o   Molded O-rings and gaskets - metal detectable, USP Class VI, FDA and much more.

o   Inflatable seals – many standard and custom profiles available.

o   Rubber to metal bonding – I.E., Titanium and Viton® bonding for demanding aerospace, semi-con, food processing and other industrial markets.
